Hein Marx is an accomplished business owner, commercial pilot and has been the driving force behind the Cape Federal Alliance.  He was instrumental in initiating the first a cooperation agreement between Afrikaner leaders of different racial groups to achieve an Independent Western and Northern Cape.

He spent 3 years in Europe (mainly in Germany), where his interest in SA politics was sparked, mainly due to the hostility towards Afrikaners.  In 1999, while he was chairman of the Federal Alliance political party; Garden Route and Karoo region, Mr P.W. Botha asked Hein to be his spokesperson, which he remained until Mr Botha passed away. Hein remained directly and indirectly involved with high level politics.
